Why is it so hard to talk about divisive topics? Why are facts less persuasive than we think they should be? What biases get in the way of fully understanding issues?
When facing difficult challenges, what Dr. Carcasson calls “wicked problems,” such as climate change or the management of water and other vital resources, people have different perspectives and priorities. At the Center for Public Deliberation, Dr. Carcasson has developed a process that brings people to the table.
